J.P. Morgan Asset Management ROUND THE ISLAND RACE 2014

The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, an island situated off the south coast of England. The race regularly attracts over 1,600 boats and around 15,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.

The round the island race took place at the weekend with some of the local boats doing very well with top three finishes in their IRC groups.
In IRC Group 0 Eala of Rhu had a fantastic race coming in 2nd overall and the first GBR boat.  They were pipped by localletterbox zero from Ireland which took overall first place in the Class.
In division 1A Zepher came in 3rd overall with a corrected time of 11:16:34 after VIXTER and LA REPONSE which fought hard to gain their places in 2nd and 1st.
